The only surprising thing about this game was that Nebraska actually scored 39 points. That would usually be enough to give your team a chance to win the game, but not with this defense. Mangino and the Jayhawks could have named the score but they mercifully stopped at 76. This was the most pathetic defensive performance by a Nebraska team ever, and Bill Callahan and Kevin Cosgrove should hand over their resignations immediately.
A few more comments and observations:
* Even Doc Sadler wouldn't be happy giving up 76 points to Kansas
* Five turnovers will lose the ball game just about every time
* The 'Blackshirts' earned that 119th national defensive ranking today
* Things are so bad that I can't even laugh at Navy beating Notre Dame today. Okay, I laughed!
