Huskers 35, Iowa State 17

Man that was ugly. Turnovers have a way of doing that. Who knows how far these Huskers can go if they would only stop beating themselves. The Blackshirt defense won this game for Nebraska in spite of themselves because the Husker offense just couldn't get things going until the second half. Iowa State not only lead in time of possession by almost 50% but they also had 28 first downs to Nebraska's 17. Are you kidding me, and we still won the game? Whew, we'll take it but there are no more gimmes left on the Huskers' schedule. Parity has found a home in the Big 12. Just ask Texas or Oklahoma.

A few more comments and observations:
* Maybe Coz earned some job security today. Naahhh.
* Corey McKeon sure seemed like he was having some fun again!
* Nebraska could win or lose every single game left on their schedule.
* The defense looked much better, but c'mon, it's Iowa State.
* Three sacks today. At least now the Blackshirts know what a QB feels like.
* All these dropped passes must really be pissing off Sam Keller.

This whole season so far is making me very nervous. Saturdays have begun to scare me.
The good news is that the Gators got beat. In the Swamp.
My two favorite college teams are Nebraska and who ever is playing Florida. Go Auburn!!
May the Callahan be with you...

Going to be a long season if we lose to Mizzou next weekend...

If we lose, I would venture a 7-5 season...8-4 tops

The huskers need to pick up one of two things. We have been lacking these two things since solich left. A dual-threat QB, and a big physical back. I'm sick of watching a QB that crumbles when blitzed, how about one that can move?? And, we've had strong backs, cory ross, brandon jackson, castille is looking alright. but, we need a punisher like big dan alexander, or amahan green. The offense just doesn't look physical.

Hey Wally, Love the site as always! Did notice the score recap from Iowa St game was incorrect. It was 14-10 Nebraska at the half. 14 points by NU in the 3rd and 7 by both team in the 4th. Keep up the great work!
